Sustainable development

Our commitment

At Grand Hôtel du Lac Vevey, we are deeply committed to promoting sustainable development. We firmly believe that respect for the environment and social responsibility are essential to ensuring a better future. That's why we have put in place a series of concrete actions aimed at minimizing our ecological impact, supporting the local community and guaranteeing exemplary governance.

Here is an overview of the initiatives we have implemented to actively contribute to sustainable and responsible development.

Swisstainable

The Grand Hôtel du Lac is proud to be part of the national Swisstainable program and to have achieved level II - engaged.

This distinction reflects our concrete commitment to a more responsible form of tourism, one that is respectful of the environment, caring for people and rooted in the local economy. Level II certifies that our company is already implementing tangible measures in the field of sustainability, and is committed to continuous improvement. Through this approach, we affirm our desire to preserve the beauty of our region and offer our guests a refined, authentic and conscious experience.

Vaud Ambassador

Anchored between lake and vineyards, the Grand Hôtel du Lac is proud to be a member of the Vaud Ambassadeur program, an initiative that brings together players committed to promoting the excellence and authenticity of our canton. Through this membership, we are affirming our attachment to the region and its cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage, while actively contributing to its attractiveness. Being a Vaud Ambassador means flying the flag for a unique way of life, and inviting our guests to discover it with elegance, respect and pride.

EcoCook

The Grand Hôtel du Lac recently reached a new milestone in its sustainability approach by obtaining the initial audit certificate for the EcoCook program. This recognition marks the beginning of our commitment to more responsible catering, focused on reducing waste, promoting local products and controlling our environmental impact. Through this first phase, we are asserting our determination to make our gastronomy part of a more conscious vision, without ever relinquishing our signature excellence.
